Greenhouse Manager

The Greenhouse Manager oversees the operation of both our hydroponic and conventional greenhouses and our high tunnels as well as our farm stand retail plants.  This includes forming and following planting, transplanting, and picking schedules; monitoring greenhouse environmental conditions, tracking plant inventory, and managing watering and fertilizing in the greenhouses and retail plant displays.

**Must be 18 or older** 

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Plant Management

•   Form and oversee the implementation of seeding schedules for crops to be transplanted in the greenhouse and fields based on days to harvest and specific retail needs.

•   Delegate transplanting to equipment operators for field crops and greenhouse staff for greenhouse crops - ensuring proper transplant timing based on plant maturity 

•   Manage greenhouse picking and pruning crews

 

Environmental Management

•   Monitor and manage greenhouse and high tunnel temperatures

•   Monitor and manage pH, TDS, and fertilizer levels in greenhouse water

•   Monitor and manage greenhouse pests and diseases

•   Develop high tunnel watering schedule and communicate to irrigation manager
