Note from the NEW Owners!

Happy Winter,

David and I (Amanda) would like to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Kimball Fruit Farm. We both grew up in Hollis, NH and continue to live in town with our two children. David graduated from Eastern University with a BA in Biblical Studies and a Minor in Psychology. I graduated from Keene State College with a BS in Sociology and a Minor in management.

David has worked at Kimballs for the past 18 years: starting as an after-school job as a sales clerk and harvester, and eventually moving on to managing farmer’s markets, planting schedules, and harvesting crews. For over half his life he has worked directly under Carl, who has mentored him in the processes and methods of whole farm management. I myself left a career in education and have worked at the farm stand for the past 2 years; learning its inner workings from the previous manager, Debbie Wilson. Over the past two years under the Hills’ guidance we have learned the business and administrative aspects of running Kimball Fruit Farm in preparation for owning the farm. We are grateful that Carl will remain working on the farm as he will be a great asset to us.

We recognize that the Kimball Fruit Farm you all know and love has been a well run, community staple for many years and have no intention of making many changes - it will be business as usual under our leadership.  We are considering winter farmers markets as many customers and market managers have wanted us to expand in this direction for years. We will continue to do farmers markets throughout the Greater Boston area as well as keep the stand open 7 days a week for retail sales and pick-your-own. We will also continue our harvest boxes in 2022 and will send out updated information soon.

David and I can’t wait to carry on the legacy of Kimball Fruit Farm and are eager to learn and grow with the business. Thank you to all those who have and will continue to support Kimballs at the farm stand and farmer’s markets. We encourage you to drop in when we open in May and say hello to David and I.
